ding ding tramways

Hong Kong Resident A:

Tinkerbikes were one of the earliest types of public transportation in industrial society, representing the idea of connecting people in this region and region to make this distance to another place closer and faster, right? That’s what it’s all about, right, and then it’s all about shortening the distance between regions in terms of time and space.

It can be different with each era of a craze, according to the craze of the era to produce that new style of nail car. But the original one is also retained also do not, then in this case in fact can be more from this car can see this era of an aesthetic change, which is also quite interesting.

Hong Kong Resident B:

“ Just by pointing your finger at the names of those tram stops, you can feel the pulse of the city.

When I was in middle school, ah, a lot of the time we would get excited to walk around and go shopping by ourselves, no longer being as honest and well-behaved as we used to be and going home right after school. Oh, and my favorite part was the Tinker Bus, sitting on the front of the bus.

Oh, it’s still hot with the wind blowing, but it’s not as hot as it used to be, so it feels very comfortable. Back then, people wouldn’t be in such a hurry and there wasn’t so much pressure. It’s changed, it’s changed.

But it seems that I have never seen a ding dong that goes out from Kennedy Town, or someone just…is there one that really goes out from Kennedy Town, that is the Sharky Bay side, even if it is enough. Because a lot of times it’s in…Happy Valley ah Causeway Bay and those places, I couldn’t find it at that time, I found it recently, there’s really a ding dong car that goes out from Kennedy Town, it goes through three or four bends, and along the way, you can really enjoy the scenery. I saw that and the fact that you could see bright things and see the changes very much.

The ding dong car in 19 represents the 110’s, when the whole area was out of the sea and into the sea, and Keystone Road was reclaimed from the sea, as well as the Tighten Up Stadium was reclaimed back from the sea, all of these are the embodiment of the coastline. The Tinker Bus now serves as a symbol, enabling us to see the coastline of Hong Kong in the old days, which has never changed. Also, I have heard from others that it is also true that for many elderly people, especially those in their eighties and nineties, there are some rides that they will not take.

They all knew that the trolley had never changed, so in those days, the ding dong car was always the ding dong car, and if they went home, they were used to taking the trolley, especially the ones that were in the Union. A lot of times it was a ding ding bus, going back and forth to read those stories, just going to the tram stop to find those elders, going back and forth. If you were most unlucky and took the bus, they didn’t know where to go, it was hard to find. The ding ding bus is one of the most affordable ways to get from Hong Kong to the west and back to the east, and enjoy all kinds of sights.

Just a few years ago, I was out with a group of friends and saw the dinky car with the number 120. But you know what, there is a Tinker Trolley numbered 120, and it’s not particularly important. In fact, all the trolleys have numbers, but it’s the only one that has retained its classic style, and I know it, and you know it, and that’s 120.I saw trolley number 120 across the street, and I ran over to it without saying a word, and I just wanted to figure it out, to ask for some of those old stories about it, and it wasn’t actually the earliest one, but it’s a model and style from the ’70s, ah. I would intentionally look for the #120 trolley and I would get so excited that I would do nothing but run straight down there just to meet that #120 trolley on the opposite side of the tracks and take a picture.

There was no need to rush, and oh, the excitement he felt when he could feel the wind back in the vehicles of the olden days. Hahaha, ah, I’ve seen that too. But you know what, there’s a lot of fans, and I’d be worried about those fans going forward, like Basho fans, really, and they’d be chasing after it and taking pictures. You’ll see some fans, they’ll tell you the 120 tram is coming. Oh, how are you going to take pictures? Don’t rush up there. I think it’s just a four-letter word, which is, “Give it space,”

Oh, there’s no need to rush, there’s a lot of kids all day now, clinging to the #120 trolley to take pictures, which is an intentional effort to track down that #120 trolley and take a ride, because for us, the art may bring back memories of the past, like memories of that place.

Unforgettable moments are those that happened before, all in the past, it’s all about seeing, it’s all about always, even if it would take a lot of time to hunt down the most precious #120, ummmmmmmmmm, but we won’t give up our original trip, oh oh oh, it’s actually in 2010, it wasn’t too long ago, but this experience is truly unforgettable, to be able to stop and get on that #120 trolley just so we can hear it, the sound. No need to think twice, when you see the #120 trolley you get on it right away.

In recent years, seemingly before the outbreak, I’ve seen some enthusiasts taking photos in an effort to capture moments of the #120 tram. It seems as though people were sharing content about this tram on Facebook, but I hadn’t seen it myself. It seems like several times, I’ve heard of people sharing information about this #120 tram specifically on Facebook. In fact, there were many times when I wasn’t too convinced about it, but it would have been nice if someone could have recorded a video of it, as foreigners usually appreciate it visually, and I would have followed suit. Over the past few years, I’ve seen a number of people standing at the head of the tram filming, following the tram and taking lots of photos. Ten or eight years ago, they would be accompanied by songs from that era, listening to the daytime sounds and following those swinging melodies. If you see a scene like that, you’ll understand because the scenery has changed so much on both sides. Sometimes you’ll follow this tram and listen to the songs while thinking back to those times, and 100 minutes may pass, but it’s as if you’ve reentered the past.

It seems to have suddenly dawned on me, along with some childhood memories of the dinky car that used to haul a river trolley as if it were propped up, and it was really special fun to have a trailer. A few times I’ve heard that this happened but then it was canceled, years go by and yet it still gets brought up, as if some of the hazards needed to be re-examined and then shelved.

Well, the growth of this city is inevitable, so some things will eventually be canceled.

The Tsuen Wan Line has been in operation for a long time, and now there is the Island Line. However, between 82 and 83, the Island Line and the Tsuen Wan Line ran quite close to each other. If you ride the Tinker Train now, you are able to witness these changes first hand. Sometimes it is summer, sometimes it is winter, and it is relatively hot in summer, but I have tried it a couple of times, and when you see the No. 20 train, you will be very excited and get off immediately, and take the No. 100 train back, and that is it. You experienced this many times and it was very exciting. I’ve also tried it three or four times and really felt excited because of the higher maintenance costs. Of course, one of the features of the Tinker Bus is that as a means of transportation, when you’re not in a hurry, it’s like riding a bus.

For example, in the 70’s in 1977 and then in the 80’s, that’s it. Tinkerbell, do you think there are things now that may have actually changed even though we may not have noticed. There may be things, like songs, that have really changed, the lyrics may be different, and the level of cherishing may be different. It’s true that when you can’t have it, you may not feel it’s precious until it’s lost and you feel sorry for it. So many things in life have such an emotional component to them.”
